POR‑15 Engine Enamel
POR‑15 Engine Enamels are a superior‑quality, high‑performance coating formulated with 80% solids (pigment content) for exceptional durability and coverage. Designed as a direct‑to‑metal application, this enamel creates a smooth, high‑gloss finish that enhances appearance while protecting engine components from corrosion.

Note: Do not use this product to coat exhaust systems.
Application Instructions
- Apply only in a well‑ventilated area
- Ideal application temperature: 22 °C (70 °F)
- Acceptable range: 12–28 °C (50–80 °F)
- Mix by stirring only
- Do not shake
Thinning
- Thin only if necessary — maximum 20%
- Ratio: 1 part POR‑15 solvent to 5 parts enamel
- POR‑15 Engine Enamel can usually be brushed without thinning
Coating
- One full coat typically provides complete coverage with excellent colour depth
- If a second coat is required, wait 24 hours before applying
Drying & Cure Time
- Tack‑free: ~8 hours
- Before starting engine: Allow 4–6 days
Coverage
A single pint is typically sufficient to coat one standard automobile engine block.
